This new wine bar and shop is currently the de facto locus of wine culture in Kaliningrad. The classic stylish interior lures you in with its sophistication, and when you sink into the atmosphere, you realize how well you have done for yourself by coming here. The place conveys the spirit the owners of this establishment brought back with them from their three years of travels through European wineries.

Cantina di Vino has a feeling of a wine connoisseur club without the snobbery. The collection of over 200 top-quality wines is of a consistently high quality, which does not necessarily mean that a visit here will leave you broke (bottles start at just ≈$8). You can taste a wine before ordering a bottle, which is a rare and very considerate option, and the prices at the bar are practically the same as on the shelf.

The wines can be complemented with hors d’oeuvres, simple and respectable – cheeses, meat delicacies, olives, excellent bread – everything to highlight the wine (≈$5 for a basic plate). Degustation nights are held frequently, and the entrance to such an event will cost ≈$15-20, which will buy you a set of three drinks and a modest gastronomic complement. It’s girls’ night on Thursdays with complimentary wine for groups of three or more.

Whether you’re an experienced wine connoisseur or would like to feel like one — stop by, take a sip, close your eyes and let the taste transport you to somewhere in France, Italy or Spain.
