With its ostentatious fish-themed interior, visiting Pescatore is like traveling back in time to the days of the nouveau riche. Restaurateur Andrei Zaitsev, is a semi-professional angler in his spare time, and this is vividly reflected in his latest project.

The spot is located in an old mansion on the Bersenevskaya Embankment, right opposite the cathedral of Christ the Savior and is well known as the pefect spot for those looking to enjoy some fresh fish. It is designed in a modern way and can accommodate 70 guests inside. In summertime, the guests of the restaurant can also sit on a big terrace made in the shape of a yacht and enjoy the view of the Moscow river. The terrace is protected from wind by white sails and is well-heated to make guests feel comfortable in any weather.

The kitchen here is open so you can see the way dishes from the menu come to life. And it is quite interesting because the ingredients are delivered from different parts of the world and include rare and unusual marine products. Every day they cook something new depending on what kind of fish or seafood has been caught. The manager of the cooking process is the talented chef Mido Mustafa, who also designed the menu and enriched it with his own international experience. The native Egyptian started his career in Italy, worked in the USA and Russia and in preparation for the launch of “Pescatore” he trained in the best seafood restaurants of Milan and Hong-Kong. And the result of his big experience is the special project – the menu of “Pascatore” – a complex of Mediterian and Peruvian cuisines.

If you still haven’t desided on what to order, we suggest you start with their amazing appetizers. Don’t skip this page in the menu and try the wild Japanese salmon tartare. The price is about 17$, but it’s undoubtedly worth it! Hot appetizers and soup highlights include Chinese style squids, crab tempura in tofu-teriyaki sauce, seafood soup with fish and mussels and white wine broth, tomato soup with oysters and famous tom yam. A whole page is devoted to pasta and risotto and comes before the main course masterpieces such as lobster in pepper sauce with ginger, grilled yellowtail fish, and assorted seafood. Meat lovers can also find ribeye steak, beef tartar, and other meat dishes.

Also, there is a list of seafood that can be cooked based on your preferences.
