Twins garden: fine dining in the heart of Moscow

The Twins Garden appeared in 2017 as a unique project aimed at the modernization of Russian cuisine. It is headed by two chef brothers Ivan and Sergey Berezutski. They have a lot of experience in experimenting with different products and textures in order to create totally unpredictable and delicious dishes.

The Twins Garden is a new realization of another one of their restaurants, which was called Twins. It was situated on Malaya Bronnaya and with a change of place and investor, changed its style.

What’s on the menu

The Berezutski brothers are among the most famous chefs in Moscow. Their specialization is vegetables, which  they serve in original combinations, while trying to keep it as simple and natural as possible. The word “garden” has an essential meaning in the name of their new creation.

The majority of products that are served in the restaurant or are used to prepare food are delivered from a farm in Kaluzskaya Oblast (Kaluga region). On this farm, under strict control, they cultivate more than 150 different organic vegetables and fruits. But that’s not all. They also  breed lambs, calves, rare Namibian she-goats, fish and poultry. Also, they make their own cheese, which is a base for one of their most popular dishes – morning cheese from the milk of Namibian she-goats, with apple sorbet.

What you definitely have to try when you go to  the Twins Garden are the vegetables. For example, an assortment of cabbage under suluguni cheese sauce, zucchini fried in kvas (Russian drink made from bread) with tomatoes and seaweed, or vegetable candies.

You can also order a set-menu, however, the rules of the restaurant are ‘either, or’ per table. This means  each table has to choose between the set-menu and regular menu, you can’t do both.

It’s served by the chefs themselves and you have to book in advance. Bad news for the vegetarians – there’s no vegetarian set-menu; however, the regular menu does offer both vegetarian and vegan options.

Designer Ekaterina Valz did an amazing job decorating this luxurious place. She’s famous for her stylish minimalistic interiors. To tell the truth, it’s hard to spoil such an amazing space. The panoramic windows let you experience one of the best views in Moscow, thanks to a wonderful location.

The colors of furniture and lots of glass create a very cheerful light atmosphere. An open kitchen from Molteni allows you to observe the process of cooking, which is rather fascinating.

In vino veritas
