Bacon and John is a place where the menu is mostly about meat, offering a wide selection of European dishes with some Georgian meals making an occasional appearance. A sizeable grill menu, an excellent selection of steaks, and fantastic beer snacks like the homemade cheese plate, Don smoked fish plate, homemade meat deli plate or chicken legs with garlic sauce and hot agjika (a staple Georgian sauce made of chili pepper, walnuts, garlic and herbs, burning hot and highly addictive). If you’re not into meat, don’t rush to pass on a visit to Bacon & John, there are still some alternative options for you to choose from. A business lunch deal will cost you just ≈$5.

The bar is well-stocked with all the usual suspects as far as spirits and cocktails go, plus a respectable selection of draft and bottled beer from Germany, Scotland, England, Belgium, Czech Republic, and some local varieties with intriguing names like Hopgasm. Make a note of the surprisingly extensive non-alcoholic drink selection for a pub — from milkshakes to fresh-squeezed celery juice, and from Pu-erh tea to iced grapefruit coffee.

In the evenings and on weekends Bacon & John gets very crowded, thankfully its quite spacious and spread over 2 floors to accommodate all the guests.  The design has somewhat of a loft theme — loads of free space, huge windows, and comfortable seating. The armchairs and sofas are covered with furry ‘hides’, and there’s an open kitchen — always a promising sign that high food quality expectations will be met. If you are a fan of live jazz, we strongly recommend you come here on weekends to jam to a live music session around dinner time.
