This hostel has a great location — the Volga embankment is only a couple of blocks away, also within the area you’ll find a gym, a great sushi bar and a relaxed tea & hookah joint. Evening plans are a no brainer.
The hostel occupies two floors: on the first floor, they have the common spaces: lounge, the kitchen and a WC, while all the dorms and amenities with shower cabins are on the upper floor. World hostel offers three mixed dorms: two accommodating four guests each and one accommodating six guests — hence it’ll never be too crowded.
Somehow only one room has an air conditioner, possibly that is why it is referred to as the de luxe room. But they charge the same price per night (≈$7) regardless of the dorm, and if you stay for an entire month, it’ll cost you ≈$170 — that’s 17% off!
Clean bed sheets and towels are provided. No need to worry about laundry – a washing machine and an iron are provided for free as well. You can use the hair dryer and even the computer, if you didn’t bring your own laptop. Wi-Fi is reliably working 24/7.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a modern stove, a microwave oven, and all the utensils you might need for cooking. Tea, coffee, and water are included in the price and available all day. The staff truly makes you feel at home: they will help with transfers, explain how to get to the best places in town, and play a game of chess with you if you invite them to.
At the neat and friendly World Hostel, you definitely get your money’s worth.
